Our house in the middle of the street

Brighton in the snow

I live in a colourful street in the heart of Brighton, in a house I share with my partner Nikki and cat Milly.

As a gig goer who digs the great outdoors and a foodie with a taste for innovative art, I find Brighton a city that's large enough to be cosmopolitan, yet small enough to care.

Like many folk in Brighton I arrived here after living in London. Having got to the sea I haven't looked back.

for me happiness is a chopping board laden with fresh ingredients

I can often be found running along the seafront, or happily mulling over the Guardian crossword with an espresso, in the audience at some eclectic event, down the pub cradling a pint of Harvey's or eating my way through Brighton's long list of restaurants.

At home I'm addicted to the kitchen. For me happiness is the radio on, a sharpened knife in hand and a chopping board laden with fresh ingredients in front of me. There's something about cooking and sharing food that for me sums up the essence of everything good about humanity. A good kitchen is bursting full of gossip, opinions, love and laughter.
